Hello Reddit hive-mind!
I’ve got a feeling the answer to my question is already a resounding no, however I thought it might be worth a shot.
I currently live in a flat I very dearly love in BS1, however I’m slowly launching a business that would require me to drive quite a lot in the next couple of years. I can currently get by by getting lifts with the other people I work with, however if I want to make this a full time thing (which I do), then I’ll need to get a car.
Is there any legal workaround to keeping a car in BS1 that would be cost-effective?
The options I’ve thought of so far are: - Rent a space (would cost £100 - £200 per month). I can consider this, however it would be cheaper to move house to somewhere with a parking space I imagine.
- Park along the waterfront. I’m not sure if this is even legal, but loads of cars seem to be parked on pavements around the Lloyds building.
- move out of my apartment
Appreciate any ideas!
