I grew up as a lions fan, but I kind of fell out of the game as I got older, working where I work I rarely get a whole lot of weekends free to watch footy except in finals season (unless eagles/dockers make it)
my brother followed me growing up and he became an even bigger lions fan than me, he was a member ever since he started working and could afford it, his room was full of merch and memorabilia but sadly he passed away in a car accident a few months ago, and in support all our friends and family have been become temporary Lions fans in the finals this year. The amount of emotion in the house last night was amazing, not once did any of us give up on watching however a lot of us had our doubts at half time, its kind of reignited my love for the game and I might have to start taking some weekends off next season to watch the game I grew up with again.
The game I always watched on repeat was the miracle on grass, Geelong vs Brisbane I'm sure everyone here is familiar with it, but even though this comeback wasn't as impressive it meant a whole lot more and i've definitely rewatched the last quarter at least 5 times already, its jumped up in my all time favourite moments for sure, and im excited to see what the boys can pull off next week.
