Shoutout to the 2 good samaritans who helped the stressed professional driver (me)
Post Body

Hi. My job is delivery for a large company (going to be vague on some details). I went up a very steep incline on a driveway and became stuck in a pothole as well as part of the truck's parts stuck in the road. I couldn't reverse or accelerate out of it and my back half was sticking out onto traffic. These 2 legends came over to assess and see if they could help. They tried a couple things to free the stuck part but nothing worked. I thanked them for stopping.

Being a large company i have to call all the support numbers and told it'll take an hour before help arrives. The training I did that deals with situations like this is done when you first start the job. So for me many months ago and it doesn't pop up exactly what to do in my head so i call someone who can give me instructions that i follow.

Now as the traffic got busier and more people started to notice what was going on, such as walking/cycling/driving slowly and laughing, (tbh i'd laugh at the fucked up situation i was in as well if i saw it, i am expecting photos of it to pop up online) I was starting to panic and get more stressed out, lots of negative thoughts etc. Then the same car as before pulls up. Has traffic cones with him to place on the road as well as a hydraulic jack. He places it on the back portion and lifts it up till it is no longer stuck in the road and then i can reverse out. Filled with joy i reverse out and pull up down the road. He pulls up beside me and I thank him so much, probably smiling ear to ear. We give each other an elbow bump because of the no handshake situation. I asked why he stopped and he said he felt sorry for the situation and when he first stopped he wasn't sure if i was stuck or just done a terrible park.

Now as it turns out, which probably was in my online training I was supposed to not do anything and not try to allow anyone to help, but to wait for the support to come out (i imagine a tow truck). I'm likely to face repercussions for not following the protocol and waiting till someone from the external company comes out but I'm okay with that. This event just gives faith back in humanity and there are nice people out there. Driving wise you normally get more bad then good. Waiting another hour and probably even more with the increasing amount of traffic as it started to get busier on the road, I would have been filling up with negative thoughts/emotions. These 2 people actually reversed that experience because where else could you meet nice people who take the time to help a stranger.

I know they will never see this and likely many people won't read this because its so long but I just didn't know what else to do.

TLDR - nice people stop and help me out who was stuck in a steep incline driveway in a very visible company truck with my butt sticking out onto the road (probably gonna have the photo posted on the news). Then return later with the equipment to actually get me out! Gave them an elbow bump but I wished I could have done more.
