Summoned for jury duty, but live interstate. Is it likely that I may still be required to attend?
Post Body

I moved from Brisbane to Adelaide earlier this year, and updated my AEC details at the very start of March.

A short time after this I received - via redirected mail - a Jury Duty Summons from QLD Courts. I followed the appropriate process and filled in the form, including the application to be excused from jury duty.

This is all well and good, but there are no indications of whether your application for excusal has been accepted or denied, unless you hear back from the Jury Team letting you know about the second round selection/etc. Essentially "if you don't hear from us again, assume you're not required".

The major catch for me is that I've been invited to a couple things within the dates of the Jury Duty requirements. One of those things requires expensive tickets which are likely to be less available/unavailable the closer I get to the date (early next month).

Thanks to mail redirection if I am required for Jury Duty I likely won't know until a few days after the cutoff date mentioned in the Jury Duty paperwork.

Does anyone know of any phone numbers I can call that would be able to give me an answer? All the numbers I've tried are 100% automated systems or aren't able to help.
