I don’t know how long I’m going to survive if the prices keep going up on everything.. in my area it’s $300 and above just to rent a room! Most are not inclusive of bills either. Not to mention, it’s under the table and no official ‘approved tenant’ or lease signing. Which means they have all rights to kick you out whenever they want😢 I’m struggling so hard right now, where I’m getting less then $500 a week and I’m currently paying $295 a week for rent which means I’m left with barely anythingðŸ˜
Because investors are buying properties at over million. The only way to make money for them is to rent the rooms out so that it covers costs. Meaning they need to make more than a thousand dollars a week.
I don't agree with what's happening at all. But that's what's happening
You are delulu I'd you think increasing supply will make a single dent. Any new homes/rooms will be sold and rented for same if not more than what they go for now.
An increase in supply means absolutely nothing unless there's regulation to go along with it.
Unless we become like Japan where there are more houses than people, your assertion is a pipe dream.

B.S as if magically 10,000 houses are built tomorrow any of them will cost less than what's on offer today.
