Long story short: I got the job! As a junior brewer!
Long story long: the interview went great. I had the feeling they were looking for someone with an university background and a pragmatic approach to problem solving, with little experience. The interview went well, and I could notice that they really went through my application and resume. I got an email a few days later and have my first brewday lined up! I couldn't be happier! And thank you for all your advice.
Hey guys,
Coming Monday I've got a job interview lined up at quite a big brewery (well up to 1mil. Litres a year!) as a apprentice brewer! Yay!
I've been playing around with a homebrew kit for a bit and have a background in microbiology so I'm not completely green. I've also worked during my studies as a bartender on a craft beer bar.
My question to you is, what are the personality traits and quirks thatt you'd like to see in your assistant, and what would be something you'd like to hear? Also what are your no-goes?
Thanks in advance and I'll keep you guys updated :)
