Went out with my mum to do some grocery shopping. Baby was in her car seat in the trolley. One aisle in and she decided she was starving. I took her out the car seat and went and sat in the cafe part to feed her. An old lady clocked what I was doing and we made eye contact. Next thing I knew she was walking up to me.
"Uh oh," I thought, "I know what happens now and I know it's not good..."
Well, it was great! Turns out she used to be a midwife and was so full of praise that I was confident enough to do it in public, and was so sweet. Honestly it was lovely and really affirming.
I'm glad people are nice. I'm glad she came up to me. It was a nice self esteem boost.
