Hi all I do a combination of pumping and direct breast feeding. Since 2 days my left breast hurts a lot and there is a lump that doesn’t go away even after pumping/feeding. It feels like clogged ducts. I tried holding under warm shower, any other ideas how to get rid of it? My bipple also hurts but I’m pushing through and not stopping the feeding /pumping routine
Check for a bleb in your nipple, like a tiny white dot. I cleared one yesterday (with a sharp plastic sterile toothpick) after two days of a painful lump and the relief was immediate. Lump gone in 20 mins of feeding after that bleb was cleared.
I saw it most clearly when I soaked in a hot bath. It stood out pretty clearly then.
