Just looking for some advice, pre empting really.
35 weeks currently, and we've had low lying placenta that's now moved, but baby is now breech and have a scan Monday to discuss options going forwards. I feel weve come from one possible caesarean reason into another. I really want a vaginal birth, I'm not going to lie the thought of a caesarean scares me. Equally maun priority is safety of me and baby, so it is what it is. It scares me for 2 main reasons, the first being we have a very cuddly, needs mummy 3 year old, the thought of not being able to lift and play with him is daunting while I recover, the second is that everyone I know that's had a caesarean just all keep telling me their milk didn't come in and had to formula feed.
Do you get the same skin on skin golden hour ? If I end up having to have a caesarean, is there anything I can do to aid the successful feeding?
I was hoping this time it would all go smoother. My first born we struggled to latch until 6 weeks and was under the lactation consultant, and whilst we did manage to breast feed and all the way til he was 19 months, those first 6-8 weeks were stressful. Is there anything I can do to prep ?
**thankyou everyone, lots of helpful advice & hope in there too, it really doesn't help that some of these people are my in laws and in particular MIL who is truly against breast feeding, but I hope with all this help we'll get there. I'm exercising and yoga'ing to get her to move and spoke to my mum who is having toddler and helping us for a few days after baby arrives (no matter the journey) and she is going to be the positivity I need, even if it's a keeping baby rabies at bay for plenty of skin on skin and rest x
Priority is she's here safe and sound x

Basically the same for me, but I did (and still do) the football hold using the breastfriend pillow. I would absolutely get one if you don't already have one! For some reason side lying didn't work for us until he was a little bigger and I didn't feel scared my boob was cover his nose as much 😂
