haaka help

I have been using my haaka pump on one side as my baby nurses on the other. I fold the flange back and place my nipple in the center then release it, give it a few squeezes to get a letdown and let it do its work. But I never get any real milk out. Only drops.. what am I doing wrong? Why doesn't the haaka work for me? Anyone else have this issue? Help!
