I had my lumpectomy on the 26th and things went really well, but I started hearing water sloshing in my breast about 48 hours after the procedure. My surgeon says it’s fluid buildup referred to as a seroma and the body should eventually absorb it but if it doesn’t and causes discomfort it might need to be aspirated. Does anybody else have experience with this? I have a small amount of redness and swelling which I sent a picture of and am told looks normal. Other than that it seems things are going as well as can be expected. I just really don’t like this sloshing sound coming from my breast. ☺️
Same boat! Lumpectomy on the 26th, have felt that weird water sloshing feeling in my chest the past couple days since taking the breast binder off. It is such a strange feeling…I hate it. I was freaking out at first when my fiancé reminded me the nurse said that would likely happen and then resolve itself. I have a post op appt on the 4th but might call one of the nurses before that if I’m still feeling weird about it Monday 😅*edit for spelling
