Guilty having kids ?

Post Body

So we went camping with friends this weekend. Husband didn’t want the kids (3 and 1) to come. I thought it would be good for them and that they would do well (they have in the past). First night, husband makes stupid joke about “trading one kid for the dog” and immediately 3 friends were like “HELL NO.” Like ok, I get it, dog is cute, and husband shouldn’t have made that joke. The second day, one of the guys (the 1 year olds godfather) said “never EVER ask me to babysit” out of the blue. Okay again…. And then same guy said “who cares about the kids.” It broke my heart bc I tried so hard and vouched for my kids to be there.

I get none of them want kids, I get that not everyone has a warm welcome to little ones. But all the comments from them and my husband make me feel guilty for being a mom. Their lives are so different than ours and I think my husband resents having them. It’s a really sucky feeling.

THOSE ARE YOUR BABIES!!! Screw those people and never feel guilty. Get a new husband and friends. Shame on them
