There is poop all over the bathroom... again

Post Body

Okay, well, not ALL over. Neatly contained, in my almost 6 year old's underwear that has then been dumped all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. Husband will clean it all tomorrow like he does every Friday (cause when I do it, I get physically sick).

We "potty trained" him at about 3 and a half, it took 2 weeks and everything seemed fine. Then just like that, he stopped pooping on the potty. No reason given he just went in his pants again and has done ever since. And I hate it! We don't even get a warning, no outward sign he needs to poop or that he's going to hide to poop. We just suddenly notice the smell.

We've tried rewards charts, he's ignored them. We've taken away "big boy" toys until he "grows up" (stupidest idea ever suggested to us), he couldn't care less. We've offered soo many bribes, and he's cried when he couldn't have it right away but changed nothing.

I've reached out to his doctor, his pre-school teacher, his school teacher, and all have said "he'll grow out of it, try a reward chart". In desperation, I called my doctor who said she had no clue what to do and referred me on to some kind of bedwetting expert. Said expert told me to take him to the bathroom every time he showed signs of needing to poop and let him do it in his pants in there. This sounds like a step in the right direction, but if I have no idea when he needs to poop how is this actually possible? I emailed back but they've not responded.

I'm just so sick of all the poopy underwear all over my bathroom.
