Almost 4 year old not potty trained - help!

My son will turn 4 at the end of January. We had some success over the summer with a few poops on the potty but now - nothing. He appears to have zero desire. He is not motivated by “treats” or “prizes”.

His school consistently puts him on the potty, but he always just says he doesn’t have to go. Anyone have a tried and true method for a child this old? He’s super smart and I thought he would just get it - but we are struggling here! I have a few days off over Christmas we could dedicate. Is that the best method?
