At the store today stocking up on sustenance. We crossed paths with a very, very, very pregnant lady several times. Wearing sweat pant cut offs, flip flops, a Star Wars t-shirt, and a messy ponytail. To top it all off, she had her shirt hiked up so that her belly was totally exposed.

I was a little shocked to see this at first, but when we queued up to pay for our wares, she ended up being in front of us. People around us kept stealing uncomfortable glances at the beach ball shaped mass she was carrying in front of her. She seemed to either not notice or not care. My guess is the latter.

And you know what pregnant lady? I get it. At that level of pregnancy (over 9000), you just run out of fucks to give. In the last few weeks you've probably had various hands and instruments all over your belly and even inside of you. You've probably had more than few nasty gobs in your panties. You're probably hyperaware every second that your body is not 'your body' right at this point in time, as evidenced by the constant rib-kicking and wriggling you feel going on down under. You've probably voided your bladder before you could get to a bathroom more than once in the past month. You probably lay awake each night lately with someone who is not tired in the slightest rolling around inside you.

So I feel you, soon to be mom at the grocery store. Your body and modesty is probably as sacred as a public toilet right now, and your feelings about other people's level of comfort over trivial things like your nude and bulging tummy is that it is the lowest possible priority on the totem pole. I wasn't judging.
