We recently got a kitten and my son seems to want to OD on cuteness. Literally BINGE on cute things. He looks through animal books and then googles more pictures of cute baby animals that he finds. Then he goes and picks up the kitten, buries his face in his fur while murmuring 'you're so cute, you're so cute'. Luckily the kitten is very tolerant of this behaviour.
So the other day we were at the park and there's a lady with a baby, maybe 4 or 5 months old, sitting in a blanket. My son goes up to her and says 'excuse me can I look at your baby to see if he's cute?'. (He rarely gets to interact with babies.) She gives him the go-ahead and my son looks him up and down while the baby drools and smiles. My son says 'yeah, he's pretty cute- maybe 5% less cute than a kitten.'
The lady laughs and agrees kittens are adorable but baby bunnies are even better. When we get home my son demands to use my phone to Google photos of baby bunnies.
Fuckin' kids, making cuteness all meta.
