I am not judging people who travel with their kids!!! I am judging people who act like this is some easy or necessary thing for parents to do.
So many other moms I know - along with random influencers - keep popping up on my social media feeds or into my real life with this narrative that your life doesnât have to change with kids, âjust bring them with you, itâs twice the funâ, talking about how they wonât be ârobbingâ their child of experiences because theyâre âtoo scaredâ to go traveling with a baby. I have one friend who just brought her toddler on a weeklong hiking trip, and she keeps posting these long captions about how she canât believe that other mothers âstructure their entire life around being a momâ and ânothing has to changeâ.
Idk what kind of child you have, but we do not all have that kid. Like, am I the only one?? I swear everyone I know with kids is taking them all over the place from birth and it baffles me. Mine has a 3 day meltdown if we do so much as a daylong road trip because he gets so upset being out of his routine.
