People who act like traveling with a baby/children is no big deal

I am not judging people who travel with their kids!!! I am judging people who act like this is some easy or necessary thing for parents to do.

So many other moms I know - along with random influencers - keep popping up on my social media feeds or into my real life with this narrative that your life doesn’t have to change with kids, “just bring them with you, it’s twice the fun”, talking about how they won’t be “robbing” their child of experiences because they’re “too scared” to go traveling with a baby. I have one friend who just brought her toddler on a weeklong hiking trip, and she keeps posting these long captions about how she can’t believe that other mothers “structure their entire life around being a mom” and “nothing has to change”.

Idk what kind of child you have, but we do not all have that kid. Like, am I the only one?? I swear everyone I know with kids is taking them all over the place from birth and it baffles me. Mine has a 3 day meltdown if we do so much as a daylong road trip because he gets so upset being out of his routine.

omg I know it’s in the past but I’m seriously sooo sorry you had such an awful trip! I literally cannot imagine how stressful that was, like damn 🥲 I hate even dragging the baby into Target. Huge hugs!
