The entire storyline hinges on the fact that Huell is stupid enough to fall for an extremely poorly constructed con.
At least have Huell picked up on something dumb (jaywalking, running a stop sign because he is stuffing his face with a hot dog). Hell, he could have Jesse's weed still in his pocket or be driving Saul's car covered in coke. Maybe catch him with some of Walt's money too and then have him give up something meaningful on how Walt hid his money. Be a little more creative.
Asking me to believe that they just politely escorted Huell to a house somewhere, showed him a picture of chicken guts, and then fooled him into not asking questions by telling him over and over not to call anyone to verify anything is too ridiculous.
The worst part is they didn't even bother to come up with a new tactic in dealing with Walt. Come on. You cannot have multiple cons in the same episode. At least the second one was more believable, but it just looks lazy.
Edit: There wasn't even an entry wound on the picture of Jesse getting shot. I mean come on.
TLDR: Huell is not that dumb. That con was not believable at all.
