Did Hank actually have anything solid?

Besides the notebook with the W.W. initials, I feel like Hank didn't actually have anything solid against Walt and and just hoped if he faced Walt with those assumptions, he could bring him into confession, which he does.
But hard proof? Hank barely had any.
Could Walt have played dumb in the garage?
