I just watched S2E6 and after seeing Walt’s apology to Gretchen, I realized how well she handles her confusion and anger, how calm she is and, even after Walt’s very harsh words, she proves she still cares about him by playing along with his lie and saying her and Elliot are cutting off the money.

Meanwhile, I feel Skyler would’ve tapped out much sooner and in a different way. Not in a wrong way, I don’t hate her, just different.

Obviously Walt’s ego will remain, that can’t really change. It’s just to me it seems Gretchen is far more patient in a marriage, and with her nagging him way less, it makes me wonder… in a universe where Gretchen is standing in Skyler’s place, would Walt have been happier?
