I’m currently in the middle of season 5 (episode 7. The longer I watch this show it makes me realize how toxic the relationship is between Walter and Jesse. Walter has guilt tripped Jesse so many times in to doing this that he didn’t want to do (like killing Gale) . Walter is extremely greedy with money, and Jesse was right Walter only needed $737k to leave for his family because he didn’t know what the cancer was going to do to him or when he would die. Now all Walter cares about it money and he keeps dragging Jesse through the mud. It was Walters fault that Jane died , if he didn’t turn her over she would’ve never choked on her vomit. It left a deep internal scar on Jesse. However it did allow Jesse to finally become clean (at least for a while) . I understand that Walter cares for Jesse in the sense he doesn’t want to see him using again and he cares for him in his own weird way but it just feels the longer I see their relationship the more I think that Walter is extremely toxic for Jesse and Jesse is better off without him.
