Sony X94J grainy image in Dolby Vision

Hey all,
Currently watching Stranger things on Netflix and we've got dolby vision bright on, however the image appears grainy to me. Same for having Netflix calibrated on. The wife normally says she can't see a different but this time even she says it looks grainy.
Any thoughts on this? Is there anything to calibrated within those two settings potentially.
