I have my Xbox 1X routed thru my Denon X3600 AVR and into HDMI 3 on my X90J. When I select the Xbox input on my AVR the TV doesn't seem to change picture mode automatically even though I have auto picture mode turned on. My TV just stays in custom picture mode.

I watch all my apps like Netflix etc thru my Nvidia Shield which is also routed thru my AVR and when watching I have my picture mode set to custom. Does this mean I have basically set the HDMI 3 input to custom picture and it won't change to game mode mode automatically when I switch to my Xbox? I thought the TV was supposed to auto detect the kind of picture it was being sent?

Is the only way around this to plug my Xbox directly into the TV via HDMI 4 and then have the sound routed back thru my AVR via the HDMI 3 aRC ?

My old Samsung would detect the Xbox automatically so I can't believe the Sony would have to be switched manually surely? Especially as when I turn Netflix on through my Shield, picture mode does change automatically to dolby vision bright...
