My third Sony Bravia TV suddenly stopped working after 4-5 years, with issues related to either the motherboard or the LED. Meanwhile, my Samsung TV has lasted over 12 years without any problems.
My current Sony TV isn’t switching on; the red light stays on (no blinking). A hard reset works, but only once, and the issue reappears. I called the service center, and the service person post physical inspection informed me it’s a motherboard issue, which is no longer available and must be replaced.
Now, I have to replace my third Sony TV in just 3-4 years, and I’m really confused—why should I continue paying a 20% premium?
I have Bravia 3 from 2015 and never had any issues knock on wood. I pray my Bravia 8 coming tomorrow lives as long or longer going to use the b8 as a living room tv and brining the b3 I have now as a bedroom tv until me and the lady decide we need to upgrade a bedroom tv
