Post Body

Hello everyone :)

So it's been almost a week since the latest batch was released. I think it's time that we talk a little more about them and share our opinion. I'd like to have an open discussion about them before adding them to my tier-list.

ベルデッド - Berdeth

Her main use will be her 60% Atk -> Def convert buff. The previous buffs of this type had a 35% value at best. This does make a big difference. You are significantly tankier using her. She also has an attack buff on her SBB, which works well with her own convert buff.

She also provides a Hit Count buff. Remember how we were limited in the number of BB/SBB we could use per turn in the Grah/Owen Trial. That means you'll be using basic attacks a lot. Suddenly hit count buff becomes valuable. It grants a nice amount of damage and helps filling your gauges with sparks. I think that she will see a lot of play if BB limitation becomes a standard. We might even see her as a Leader, if this limitation reaches 2 or even 1 BB/SBB per turn.

Speaking of her LS, I'm personally using her as my defensive collo leader. The BC/hit part allows to sometimes get a BB ready on the very first turn, making you win instantly. If that doesn't happen, you still have buffed up basic attacks that deal a fair amount of damage. The extra HP and Atk are always nice. She also has Hit Count on her ES, making her very good as a sub.

Outside of Trial and Colloseum, you'll find value in her convert def buff for RC6 and hit count buff to snipe certain boss parts. And for FG/FH farming, she only provides an Atk Buff. There are much better options for this.

ァレをス - Sareas

Since his SBB is a better version of his BB, I won't really talk about his BB. This guy will probably solve all of your problems regarding filling your gauges, while being bulky and dealing a good amount of damage. He gives you a BC/spark buff, while having a huge spark blanket of 40 hits. He also has an insta-fill 8 BC in case this wouldn't be enough. He buffs himself for 150% Atk/Def/Rec, which now stacks with standard team Atk/Def/Rec buffs. His stats can reach ridiculous amounts. And of course, he fills his own SBB gauge, so you can spam this as much as you would want.

You can pretty much use him wherever you want, there's no situation where this would be not so good. Be it Trials to feel gauges, be it Raid/FH/FG to bring damage, spark blanket and BB management. You'll often get more damage with a good spark blanket rather than an Atk buff or something like that.

His LS is also pretty good, but I'd rather use him as a sub. You usually want more defensive/supportive LS in Trials and more damage oriented LS in Raid or FG/FH.

The only place he would be average is Colloseum. He doesn't have anything spectacular to make him shine and he has a bad dropcheck on his basic attack (28 DC is weak).

Overall, a very solid unit that you can use everywhere outside of Colloseum.

ドγ‚₯ーレ - Duule

This guy was said to be the successor to Rize. However, he isn't doing so good at the moment. While, people still need to get used to his Attack animation, the fact that you are using Avant with him makes him a lot less valuable. Spark debuff and convert atk buff, you already had these on Avant. You are trading slightly better buffs for less sparking potential, which in the end, will result in less damage. You also encounter a bit more water units in the first 20 waves of FG, which favors Rize even more. We gotta wait for the next FH to see how he will do in Middle/End farming.

While his main use is his Rize-class nuking SBB, he has a decent BB. It provides 120% Atk/Def buff and a chance to heal when damaged buff. I think that he is a bit in an awkward position, since you will most of the time find these buffs on an unit like Zephyr, Sirius or Paris. You can bring him just for the chance to heal when damaged buff, but he doesn't have a good hit count (12 on BB, 15 on SBB) and his animation isn't that good, so it's a bit complicated.

And for his LS, it gives HP and Atk based on your remaining HP, which is good for Colloseum and terrible for the rest. However, with all the Angel Idols unit in Colloseum, you will probably lose a lot of value of his LS. He also has a bad dropcheck on his basic attack (again, 28 for a 7* is weak). You might have troubles filling your gauges if your position is weak against the opponent's position.

A bit in a weird position right now, however he might turn big if we get a LS that gives spark damage and earth/fire weak elemental damage for example. Suddenly, boom, Avant/Duule becomes insanely strong. So keep an eye on him.

ラジを - Rajia

This unit provides OD fill, status ailments and a spark buff. An interesting combination. She doesn't have anything spectacular but she is good at what she does. 90% Spark, 160% Atk against statused target and her ES pushes her damage even further. She is designed for offensive purpose.

I think her best use is in Raids, where she is slot very efficient for getting a lot of damage. She can use her BB to fill your OD gauge quick enough, before you have to smoke bomb/run away. You might not want to use a Hero Crystal every Raid, those are expensive.

In FG/FH, she could have been good if she had direct status infliction instead of status infliction when hit. This means that you won't get advantage of her buff against statused target on the first turn. She has average damage without status ailments, so she isn't good for that purpose.

As for colloseum, she has 40 DC on her basic attack and a Type 2 AI, so she is okay but nothing fancy. There are way better units for collo.

Overall, I see her as an offensive version of Drevas. You are trading status cure/immunity and elemental mitigation for spark buff and more damage. It's up to you and your squad setup.

γ‚·γƒͺウス - Sirius

Same as Sareas, his BB being a weaker version of his SBB, I won't talk about it.

By far the best unit of this batch. He has an awesome LS, one of the best for non crit-resistant content. His kit is also very good, 130% Atk/Def/Rec, BC/spark and 250% BB mod buff. Yep. This is what slot efficiency is.

His LS doesn't offer any BB management, he might not be the best in Trials but he really is insane in Raids.

He is also good in FG, packing the highest BB mod buff in the game and a very good Atk buff.

And for colloseum, he is also better than average. 44 DC on basic attack is good. His ES can also make him unexpectedly bulky if you are able to proc it and heal up.

Overall, a very solid unit, actually one of the best unit in the game at the moment. Be it as a leader or as a sub, he will change the way you build your squad.

パγƒͺγƒŠ - Melina

She is cute :3

Once again, her BB is just a worse version of her SBB, so I'll only talk about her SBB.

On her SBB (single target), she has a base multiplier of 570% and she gets an additional 300% multiplier everytime she uses her SBB. This stacks up to 5 times, ending up at a whopping 2070% multiplier. While it sounds good on paper, it actually isn't that strong. You have to use her SBB everysingle turn. If there is a BB per turn limitation, you of course want mitigation, maybe to heal and renew that buff. Maybe you'll have to guard to avoid a nuke turn or to smoke bomb if you are in Raid cause things aren't going your way. Or just simply getting hit by a BB drain, you'll either have to use a Fujin, insta-fill or go back to 0 stacks.

This makes me think that her debuffs on her SBB are more valuable. 50% to proc 50% Atk Down is huge and 80% chances to proc Injury. This gives a lot of survavibility and works against buff wipe. Her damage is just bonus, if you want raw damage, just use Gildorf or Lilith, they can reach similar multipliers without having to use their SBBs 5 turns in a raw.

She will shine if we have to lock down a specific part of a Raid boss or a specific unit in a Trial in order to survive.

Her LS is somewhat good in Defense in Colloseum. It gives BC/hit and BB cost reduction, which works very well together. The 80% Atk is also nice in case you don't get a BB on the first turn, you can still kill a few foes. However, Melina has only single target attacks on her BB/SBB which is obviously a huge drawback.

She has some potential, it will depend of BB per turn limitation becoming a standard or not. If it doesn't, she will probably be very solid. If it does, she will be used for her debuffs and help surviving.
