TL;DR I defeated Maxwell (woooooo), so I wrote about it. It's quite a long read though!
(Based on what happened in my battle)
"Fools!" I cried to their group, savoring the look of shock on their faces. How humans seem to be so shortsighted that even I, a God, cannot know.
There were six of them; a brave but arrogant man of fire, a common thief, a lady with small, puny animals, an aging warrior with his worthless shield, a follower of a false God, and of course, this old man lodged in my spear as I threw him aside like a ragdoll.
"You asked for this!" I sneered, amused by their shock turning into anger. These worthless humans, seeing nothing but what they want; they hold no worth, and certainly no chance of redemption.
The man of fire attacked first, yelling obscenities as if it would hurt me. He was brave, yet arrogant; a man of no plans, a mere grunt. I did not even bother to dodge; none of his attacks sunk into my form.
The thief followed. He was aiming to hit me from the back, a weakness only humans process. Do they not know that I am a God of creation; that all their efforts are futile?
The false believer came next; a man worthy of praise if only he followed me. He cast some arcane spells; a crude guard by the looks of it, as the soldier raised his beaten-down shield, following suit. No matter; no shield nor magic can block my power; it would be amusing to see them try as hard and still be obliterated by my raw strength.
The lady cast a spell, mending their wounds, restoring their vigor, yet it also did not matter; their bones I can break again, and I will do so again and again until not even a sliver of their soul remains.
I simply laughed as their blades bounced away from my form, leaving me unharmed. Their persistence I honor, yet I do not understand...
"Why fight me? It is inevitable that you will lose!" I said, pointing to the dead old man for emphasis. I watched them wince, holding back tears. Surely they can see the odds are against them; surely they are logical beings that will surrender to the impossible tide?
"I don't care if we will lose; we'll fight you to the end!" the man of fire cried out. "You've taken many things from us, and that stops now!"
"I am a God; I can do whatever I want with you humans!" I said, sneering. "Your emotions and decisions are all useless! You take and steal from others!" I pointed to the thief. "You use your skill to fight in pointless, barbaric wars!" I yelled, pointing at the soldier. "You betray, even a God!" I shouted, pointing towards the false believer. "You manipulate others to your aid!" I cried out to the lady. "And you take justice in your own hands!" I said to the man of fire. "What makes you think that you are worthy of redemption?! Your life is lived through an imperfect, corrupt way from the start; there is no room in Grand Gaia for imperfect imbeciles like all of you!"
"Shut up!" the man of fire yelled. "It ends now!"
"Indeed it does..." I said, grinning. I summoned all my strength, prepared to lay waste to the arrogant fools.
Fire fell from the heavens, the ground split into two; the very foundations of life shook.
It was my strongest attack. They shouldn't have survived the first strike.
But when the smoke cleared they still stand. A bit broken, but still alive.
"I-Impossible!" I said. "No one can survive that, not even a God!" I blurted out, panicking. "No one has the power to withstand that blow and certainly you don't have the means to live!" My strength faded away; is this how being weak feels like?
"Heh, you think we'll just lie down and die?" Now it was the man's turn to sneer, clutching a shoulder. "God or not, we'll take you down!"
"Ho ho ho, that's right!"
All of us turned to see the old man laughing.
"Impossible! I killed you!" That spear went straight through; an old feeble man wouldn't be able to live though a mortal wound!
"Ho ho ho, it takes more than a shot to the heart to kill 'ol elder Grah!" He said, winking. The nerve of this old man!
But still, I do not understand; their tenacity... Is too strong. Are these humans using another form of power even I do not know?
Though I may never even find out, as the blades finally caught purchase upon me. I have felt "pain" for the first time, as I lost consciousness.
Perhaps, it is way better off with this after all.
I wake up to the same room, now littered with debris and a giant crater I can only guess is where I was. The beautiful ornate rings that surrounded me are shattered, I cannot even float; what only remains is my spear, which I clutched tightly.
"Oh, glad to see you awake!"
I turned towards the voice and saw a young child smiling.
"Who are you, child?" I said, still holding my spear in defense.
"Oh no, no need for the weapon. I'm just a summoner!"
"A summoner?" I said, eying the child suspiciously. It was only then I realized that the humans that defeated me; the man of fire, the soldier, the lady, the thief, the god-worshipper, even the old man were standing behind this small child.
Ridiculous. I thought summoners were older than their summoned?
"Tell me summoner," I started. "How did your summoned withstand the power I released? I used the very same to create this world, and yet I only managed to injure, not kill."
"Oh, that." he said, scratching his head. "I just used mitigation and swiped down on all units and-"
"What?" I interrupted. None of these made sense. Nothing made sense anymore.
"What about the old man 'Grah'? How did he live?"
"I just used the revive lights and gave him some cures and-"
"Wait, wait, wait; stop." This child only made things worse. Whatever he's saying I don't even understand; 'swipe down'? What is this, a game?
"Anyway, forget about that!" he continued, smiling. "I'd like it if you'd join us!"
Join these humans? If I were still me before all of these happened, I would gladly smite this child for insulting me. But... Things are not making sense now, and my power has faded too much...
"Very well..." I said, struggling to stand. The man of fire and the soldier helped me up; the very same that took me down moments ago. How strange and forgiving, these humans are.
"Child who doesn't fear sin..." I began.
"My will, has already faded...",
"Thus, let's try following humans instead." I said, smiling for the first time.
