So, some people may downvote this, but I would like to bring up (once again) about downvoting, now extending to posts. So recently, I have seen mass downvoting of certain posts/threads that are, indeed, contributing to the thread/topic of this subreddit. I get the slightest feeling that people are downvoting due to emotional reasons and not rational reasons. Let's look at the reddiquette real quick:
Downvote an otherwise acceptable post because you don't personally like it. Think before you downvote and take a moment to ensure you're downvoting someone because they are not contributing to the community dialogue or discussion. If you simply take a moment to stop, think and examine your reasons for downvoting, rather than doing so out of an emotional reaction, you will ensure that your downvotes are given for good reasons.
I can't help but feel pissed off when something that was totally in context gets downvoted because some people disagree. For example, my fan made unit thread. I posted this recently so I can get feedback and I even drew out the concept art. It took me a long time to draw and imagine the units, but I can't help to realise that as soon as I posted the thread, someone already downvoted it. I just don't understand why someone would do it. I was contributing to the subreddit, yet someone either didn't like my units or me. Sorry for bitching, but since my post now sits at -3 points, now I can't get as much feedback anymore and my hard work goes to waste. Sorry again for bitching, but please only downvote only if the post/comment is truly not contributing to the topic/subreddit. Thanks again.
