Have mercy on me, because I might be a little salty.

So I've noticed something(which maybe mines and my friends luck) that seems off. It seems like the more money you spend on RS the futher you are from summoning the "hyped^2" unit.

When I first started brave Frontier about 8 months ago I was mostly f2p while getting the occasional gems from the quest. With those gems I would summon and usually get the most sought after summons of that party within 5 summons, no more than 10 usually. Things seemed to change after i started buying 80 $ worth of gems per batch and I seemed to always get the less desired units from the batch and never the hyped like Doug, Luthers, Zelnite, Darv , Elza etc.

Once again, I don't mean to bitch and moan and this could be my extreme bias based on my summons, but has anyone experienced anything similar?
