[Android] "Recently visited" search engine option missing

On Android Chrome, when you visit a search engine not among the pre-installed options it gives you the option to select a recently visited search engine and make it your default. This is still working in Chrome, and used to be the case in brave, but for some reason is not currently available. Is this a bug, or an intentional design choice?
