Can someone explain to me the difference between a Euphonium horn and a eastern European style tenor horn?
Post Body

Hey everyone. So I played a tenor horn for 4 years while living in ukraine. Its been 10 years since I've touched one, and nostalgia hit me so I decided to rent one out at a local ted brown.. Well, I quickly realized that the horns here are a lot different. From what I could see, the euphonium horn was the closest to what I played. So I went ahead and got it. Quickly realized I am rusted almost beyond repair, but also that the horn does function a bit different.

So can someone explain to me what the major differences between the two are, and if there was something else that's closer to the soviet style tenor.. Thank you!
