So I found Sanderson a couple years ago and got obsessed with, read through all Cosmere multiple times. My favorite books absolutely

I decided to go read wheel of time, since I needed something else to read. And I knew it was a major influence to Sanderson

I’ve read new spring and almost done with eye of the world and wow… I’m blown away by the number of things I’m reading that I can clearly see Brandon used as influences in his works

• the way AesSedai weave reminds me of Aon drawing
• the “way gates” remind me of oathgates
• the “eternal war” which was also what Brandon called the war in dragon steel prime
• the gleeman “storyteller” who also plays music with a flute to tell animated stories
• there is a character in New spring named “Wit”

I had a few others I can’t think of now.. Are there a lot more as the series goes on? Has Brandon talked about this being a thing?

P.S - Mat annoys the fuck out of me. Does he get any better?
