Personally - and this may be an unpopular opinion - I believe this was a pretty OK outcome. This could have been absolutely disastrous PR for the gun lobby.
On the other hand, I think another case is needed to determine stuff like white collar crime. Physical violence is one thing IMO, committing minor fraud shouldn’t warrant this.
