There are so many lyrics by this band that wrench at my heart strings, but none more than this line in "Limousine":
"In the choir I saw a sad Messiah. He was bored and tired of my laments. Said I died for you one time hut never again"
I guess its because for my entire adult life, I've had to struggle with my faith in God, or a lack thereof. Growing up I was raised Christian but as I grew older things stopped making sense and I had to start questioning everything. I couldn't come up with the answers to my questions or I wasn't satisfied with the answers given. I lost faith and left the church. To this day is consider myself agnostic. I don't believe in a god but there is still that lingering fear of being wrong. So ever though Soco seems to always bring positive emotions out of me, and Degausser, Sowing Season, and Millstone absolutely crush me; its this one line that haunts me every time I hear it. Especially when it repeats over and over.
So then, is there any one line or chorus or verse that really just get you, like, to your core?
