Most Relatable Lyrics/Song
Post Body

What are lyrics or songs that you most relate to? Maybe they best describe you, your feelings, thoughts, or a situation you’re going through in life. If you’d also be comfortable with sharing why that’d be great too.

For me, a few always stick with me. The bridge to In The Water for instance really hits home.

“I can't think it enough

Can't say it enough

Can't do it enough

I can't make it enough

Can't fake it enough

I don't want it enough

So everyone'll wait”

It’s relatable for me as I never feel like I’m enough. Whether it’s as a friend, partner, worker, etc. My thoughts are wrong, my words, my actions, and I’m tired of faking it all so maybe I don’t want it all enough. The resignation in the lyrics really gets me.

As far as single lines, a line from Luca always gets me.

“Son, the last thing you’ll realize you need is what you’ve already got.”

It’s similar to me in a lot of ways like 1996’s “We live lives that are rich and blessed, and we’ll burn for how we transgress”. This life, these people, I already have what I need so why don’t I realize it? Why do I want more? Why do I always want more and never realize it? It’s the human condition, I suppose. It’s never enough.

In fact, I could go on and on but I don’t want to write a dissertation here so…I’m looking forward to hear which lyrics mean the most to you.
