hey hey,
Just wanted to ask what brand strategy frameworks y'all use when you're kicking off a project. Here are a few I have in my arsenal. Any others I should explore?
Which do you find the most useful? Which ones are a waste of time?
- Customer Journey Mapping (doing, thinking, feeling) - especially great for tech products with lots of digital touchpoints that need to remain on brand.
- Clock model chart - mapping out the brand touchpoints before, during and after purchase.
- Voice of Customer Research & Analysis - analyzing dialogue with customers or customer interviews to discover the appropriate voice and tone.
- Laddering - to stratetegically position a brand against a competitor's.
- Story Mapping or Story Script (ex: Don Miller) - using the hero's journey as a brainstorm framework.
- Brand Identity structure (core, essence, extended) g
-Brand architecture chart - great for Enterprises with sub-brands of products.
- Simon Sinek's "Find your Why" Golden Circle chart
- Word Association games
