A brand is a reflection of who you are professionally, what image you want to put on display that you feel would be best received and advantageous to your business, and what values you espouse so when you do business with someone they'll know what you're all about.
Part of the sales cycle, and you're always selling ourselves in one form or another. When people buy a good or service, it's at least partially because they like us or our experience in interfacing with us. When's the last time you've purchased something that you disliked? You might hold your nose while buying from a used car, insurance, or mortgage salesman, but you move forward because they at least attempt to make it a tolerable experience.
