Okay so I haven't made it very far through the series (work and all that fun stuff) and I'm still on the first season. What I'm curious about is if there are other magical universities in the world. The show gives me the impression that Brakebills is the only one but they seem so impractically harsh when it comes to getting rid of students who don't make the cut. Not even a strike system as far as I'm aware. I'm not really comparing it to Harry Potter when it comes to the whole magical community but the magical community within the universe of the magicians seems disorganized and small.

If anyone has read the books and can give me answers too, that would be great !
