My husband (who has a brain tumor and is on chemo) and I recently discovered that female condoms exist and thought some of the folks on here would like to know they exist too. Because yes, even couples where one of them is seriously ill may want to fool around from time to time. ;)
I was on the pill as anti contraception before he was on chemo and the switch to condoms was unpleasant. I find them annoying and he doesn't enjoy himself as much. It also had a negative emotional connotation: like here is yet another negative change thanks to the fucking brain tumor. Not a big turn on... 😛 Female condoms, however, make sex feel almost identical as before.
Downsides: they're more expensive and not sold as widely as male condoms. They also look kinda ugly, like the end of a tied up balloon. 😆 But I can't tell you how freeing it is to be able to have normal sex with my husband again. 🥲
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with the ladies on here who might benefit. I had no idea these suckers existed until a week ago.
Enjoy! 😘
