Initially, I had issues. Brackets kept coming loose. Had trouble chewing certain foods. Was in pain while chewing said foods. It was hell. But after a few months, I learned to adapt. Developed a new diet, understood my limitations and Ive had way less trips to the ortho.
So now that its been half a year, I was told I have 9 months remaining with my treatment. Im starting to get withdrawl from foods I used to have like chips, tacos, cookies or certain veggies and fruits. I miss eating meat cause those stupid bite blockers make it difficult. I gradually started eating salmon and ground beef, but the way I can enjoy something like a burger is by eating it by layers. The bun, the patty, and the fixings. Having everthing cut into little pieces like Im a toddler is getting annoying too but also embaressing when Im in public. It sucks, but Ive seen major progress with my teeth alignment.
For those who are deeper into their treatment, whats your advice on how to brave through the remaining months? I know its only been 6 months but it feels like an eternity.
