I just finished My Sweet Dear, and I am ??? lol.

-so Boss Lady hired an actor? To run off her head chef/business partner because he wasn't insa-worthy?? Did she have no other motive for being so horrible and manipulative? And this Actor was just...able to cook well enough to make a michelin star chef feel threatened?

-and Head Chef just...forgave them both super quickly for lying and jeopardising his career and gave his position over to this Actor who has no proper experience? "Nah all good, I'll simply go buy and establish a seaside restaurant, easy." (???) Was Boss Lady not actually a bad guy? What am I missing here?

-and so they're in love (?) and happy at the end but then don't see each other for some undetermined amount of time? WHAT WAS THE REASON!

I really wanted to like this, I enjoyed WYEL and was keen for more Jang Eui Soo, but I am left quite underwhelmed. Maybe if they used more screen time for plot and character choice explanations instead of romantic frollicking montages I would be less confused lmao.
