Is it me or have the kissing scenes in BLs become more realistic?

I always hated the kisses where two people just put their faces together and didn’t move. Just lips touching other lips without any real passion or spark. Lots of cutesy kisses that seem out of place for young, passionate adults.
But I’ve noticed in some of the newer shows (Lovely Writer, We Best Love: Fighting Mr 2nd, etc.), the kissing between the stars seems more passionate and realistic.
Could just be me... :)
