Mission: Impossible - Dead ReckoningāÆis incredible. The fastest 2 hr 30 min movie Iāve seen in a long time. One of the best films Iāve seen this year and Tom Cruise has done it again. Demands to be seen on the biggest screen. Cannot recommend this movie enough. Big surprise was how much I loved Hayley Atwell in the film. Iāve always been a fan but she is a fantastic addition to the franchise and is a HUGE part of the movie. - Steven Weintraub, Collider
FINALLY HERE & WORTH THE WAIT! āMISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ā DEAD RECKONINGā is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC & the BEST āMISSIONā YET! Great story, awesome cast, incredible action that will keep you on the edge of your seat ā Tom Cruise has topped himself w/ the BEST ACTION MOVIE OF THE SUMMER! - Scott Mantz, MovieMantz
Mission: Impossible - Dead ReckoningāÆāÆāÆ this phenomenal! Hayley Atwell STEALS ever scene sheās in. This is now my favorite Mission Impossible film. With the AI being the villain, this feels like a cautionary tale. The action had my heart rate elevated. That train scene is mind blowing! - Joseph Deckelmeier, ScreenRant
I had the absolute best time watching Mission: Impossible - an impeccably made action film that does not stop entertaining. Each action sequence is long, crazy & intense. The story is big & sprawling, but I like how it both felt complete & left you dying for what comes next. I watched Mission: Impossible in a Dolby house, and DAMN! The sound on this thing is incredible - fav parts are the Rome chase & the train sequence. Biggest scene stealer goes to Pom Klementieff, who plays a wicked villain with a cool arc. Pom having a great summer! - Erik Davis, Fandango
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ā DEAD RECKONING PART ONE works as Christopher McQuarrieās ambitious examination of/meditation on AI and the dangerous path we might be on. (He doesnāt like it) With the inherent nature of being āpart oneā (said that a lot lately), not as satisfying as FALLOUT. - Mike Ryan, Uproxx
Mission: ImpossibleĀ ā Dead Reckoning Part One is another winner for the franchise. Yet again, the production value is THROUGH THE ROOF with some of the most well-defined and exhilarating set pieces photographed in ways that truly make you feel like youāre in the middle of the action. The emphasis on capturing things in camera makes a HUGE difference, and you can feel it. Also really dug the mission this time around and how the technology theyāre after factors into the characters' individual arcs. - Perri Nemiroff, Collider
Mission: Impossible DEAD RECKONING PART 1: Tom Cruise hates streaming so much he's made an algorithm the villain. And bless his crazy ass, b/c this is a behemoth-sized spectacle, one go-for-broke set-piece after the next, close to FALLOUT excellence. Henry Czerny fans will go nuts. - Barry Hertz, Globe and Mail
Mission: ImpossibleāÆ- Dead Reckoning Part 1 is fantastic. Dynamite, timely story. Excellent new characters. Huge variety of action and a final set piece that ranks top 2-3 all-time for the franchise. It gets a little dense at times but its pace & intensity more than cover that. - Germain Lussier, Gizmondo
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 is VERY good, though it lacks the emotion that made MAVERICK great. The climactic train sequence is AWESOME & the entire cast RULES, from my man Tom Cruise to the great Shea Whigham. There are 2 minor issues: Villain backstory & Ethanās rushed bond w/Grace. - Jeff Sneider, Above The Line
After the insanity of the last few films, Mission: Impossible 7 has a tremendous amount to live up to, but one thing Iāll say now in quick reaction format: it does the best job yet of recent āpart 1 of 2!!ā features in feeling like its own film while setting up for the next half. - Kate Erbland, indieWire
Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning is the best movie of the year! Tom Cruise has done it again! Jaw-dropping action, high stakes, and a pulse-pounding third act thatāll have you on the edge of your seat! Tom Cruise is better than ever, and Hayley Atwell is incredible. Mission: Impossible 7āÆis action movie perfection! So many standout moments and performances. The motorcycle stunt and everything that happens on the train is outstanding! Plus, so many great fights in Vienna, and that car chase is next level awesome! Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson & Vanessa Kirby are as reliable as ever, while Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham & Greg Tarzan Davis also shine. Tom Cruise & Hayley Atwell have such insane chemistry, sheās a more than welcome addition to the team. The villain and story will require some buy in (the trailers havenāt shown anything) but once youāre in, itās probably the deadliest threat of them all. There are also a few shocking twists and turns, so brace yourself⦠Part One thankfully has a definitive ending, so itās a complete film with no death-defying cliffhanger, but the stage has been set for Part 2, and I absolutely cannot wait!! - Rohan Patel, ComicBookMovie
Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning is FANTASTIC with insane set pieces & a very timely villain. It demands that you see it in IMAX. - Umberto Gonzalez, The Wrap
Mission: Impossible 7 was a big letdown. Wonky dialogue, oddly broad acting, and narrative contrivances/shortcuts that (being generous) seemed like COVID-related issues. Felt "off" in a way akin to 'Saw 3-D' after 'Saw VI'. For the sake of the industry, I hope I'm in the minority. - Scott Mendelson, The Wrap
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is phenomenal on the action front, especially in the first hour. Hayley Atwell steals every scene. The villain, cliffhanger, and runtime didnāt blow me away but the rest is wildly entertaining and brilliantly filmed. Itās solid. - Brandon Davis, ComicBook.com
Mission: ImpossibleāÆ- Dead Reckoning is amazing and potentially the best installment in the franchise! The set pieces are mind-blowing, and the action sequences are truly next-level. It's a must-see on the largest screen available. - Dorian Parks, Geeks of Color
There's a car chase scene in Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning that brought me so much joy, it reinvigorated my love for the summer blockbuster. The craftsmanship of this franchise is unmatched. The final train sequence is a whopper too - I caught myself leaning IN from my seat. - Nigel Smith, People
