Is there any help available for disabled patients in hospital who need volunteers to visit?
Post Body

I'm currently an inpatient in Poole Hospital having been here for over 3 weeks. I'm usually housebound and my family live abroad or too far away to visit me here - normally if I go into hospital it's at Royal Bournemouth which is closer for my brother to visit, but he's moving home right now making things even more difficult!

I was wondering if there are any organisations that are able to help people in my position, there's a few things like toiletries and some items from the chemist (non prescription and I've been told to buy myself) I am very keen, and very grateful, to get, of course I can pay for this myself. It would also be lovely to just have a visitor, my stay here has been very difficult and upsetting due to very serious mistakes made (like receiving the incorrect dose of epilepsy medication 4 times), so having someone to talk to would be wonderful. Thank you 😊

EDIT - Thank you for all your kind comments and messages offering help, you are all lovely people! I have just been told that my package of care for home nursing has been put on place now so I'm actually going home tomorrow!
