How to train while recovering from chest surgery?
Post Body

I'm pretty new to bouldering but am already addicted to it. I only do indoor at a gym so far but would love to try outdoor too as I progress, but right now my focus is indoor.

I've just had chest surgery and can'f excersise for the next 2-3 months, ESPECIALLY anything that involves upper body lifting, pulling, raising my arms too high.. everything needed to climb pretty much.

What kind of training can I do that could help me improve on other parts of climbing for when I get back? I posted in r/indoorbouldering a while back and someone suggested getting some sort of putty for grip strength, and I also plan on stretching (hamstrings, hips, groin) because I'm pretty inflexible at the moment and have noticed before some longer stretches to footholds have given me shocking pains in my hips/ groin so that's something to work on. Anything else I can do to satisfy the craving and feel like I'm making SOME sort of progress while being MIA? (Upper body is mostly out of bounds for now.)
