Everybody has been complaining about the rain and I've been having a bit of a laugh at it, being from Virginia. I've made jokes in several threads and been accused of bringing it here and such.

Anyways, I live and work in Longmont and don't drive. So by the time I was off work at five my roommate couldn't get to me. The river had literally divided us. Everyone else was able to get home and had left.

Well, me being a stubborn ass and having made the mistake of dressing nice for work I opted to wade through it.

Shit was like a a quarter mile wide and had a pretty good current at some points.

My feet got a little scraped up during the travel and there was a bit where I managed to stumble into some sticky briars.

Also, during this whole time, I'm on the phone with my mom because she just had to let me know how dumb I was. (And it was totally dumb)

But I made it. An officer greeted me to also let me know how dumb I was and how lucky I was to not be swept eye to drown and be found naked because that's happens in these situations.

I'm home now, cleaned up and exhausted.
I'm sorry I made fun of you guys. That shit sucked.
