The idea is to allow users running an instance to drop python files containing various "filters" (moderation tasks on posts, comments, and/or links) into a folder and being able to immediately use them. You can easily create and run your own filters if know Python and how to use PRAW objects.
Filters can also be configured through a subreddit wiki page and updated through a PM similar to the old AutoModerator.
I've only written two filters so far for my own use (included in defaults.py
):
- Full YouTube channels bans (all links submitted, not just link posts)
- Monitor YouTube posts for possible vote solicitation in video descriptions and comments
