Hi there,
I am a renter now looking to purchase real estate in the Allston-Brighton, Brookline and Mission Hill areas but I'm a little unsure of when its the best time to start seriously browsing and setting up viewings. My argument for looking right now:
The Boston spring and summer markets are wild significantly more listings to choose than now but also crazy demand which keeps properties on the markets for very short times and also causes the actual price paid to definitely exceed listing price by a large margin. While the pickings are slimmer, the lower demand gives buyers more power in the fall, winter season.
Logic for summer: More options, mortgage rates will definitely be lower as interest rates are cut.
Opinions?
