I guess this post is somewhere in between a âmissed connectionâ and something else.
The esplanade was crowded this morning with so many runners. I know I was later than usual, but maybe you saw me, the bald guy moving faster than most but still getting passed by the truly fast runners? I had my AirPods in so my focus was elsewhere.
I also have to admit that I always wonder what the other runners are thinking. Are you curious about the people you pass and smile at? Have you ever contemplated meeting? Is that a fantasy or a nightmare? I always treat the esplanade like the gym: no fraternizing. Am I wrong? Does the runnerâs high so crazy things to our cognitive processes?
In case youâre curious: grey t-shirt, black shorts, blue eyes, lean, and bald.
