Hi there! I've been alive for over a quarter of a century and I still don't have a defining skill that brings light to my life outside of baking (I'm a damn good home baker. Maybe that could be part of some kind of quid pro quo? You show me stuff you're good at, I show you how to bake bread, cakes, rolls, or just show up with baked goods), which I like to do and am proud of, but I want something with either concrete output, or gets me out of the house. Woodworking with hand tools (currently reading the Anarchist's Tool Chest) has always been interesting to me, but I'm open to anything and everything, from electronics to sewing to welding. And yes, I know the Asylum is supposed to exist for exactly this reason, but jeepers it's expensive. I've already taken a class, and that's great, but now I have no way to apply that knowledge without shelling out even more money, so it's not exactly practical. Odds are, too, I have a pretty decent base knowledge for most things. I'm a mile wide and an inch deep, mostly because of my theater roots. I have very beginner level carpentry, electronics, sewing, makeup, design, and welding (oxy, arc, MIG, TIG) under my belt. Hell, I'd even be open to a job, it's just my work experience outside of the hospitality and logistics industries is so shallow I'm not the most attractive hire for skilled work. I'm up in the Camberville area, but am happy to bike year round wherever I need to go. Thanks for reading this shot in the dark!
