Hello miscreants, reprobates, lurkers, and those of you purely watching from the sidelines. After popular demand [*], I am going to attempt something that we have not done here since before COVID -- have a r/bostonr4r social.

[*] two people asked. two.

The intent, going forward, would be to have somewhat-regular get togethers (maybe on a quarterly basis) for interested parties. We would discuss the subreddit, the fun and perils of the internet, and overall realize that humans do exist behind accounts. This is not an orgy, a swingers' party, or an otherwise sexual activity.

I want to try a pilot run with a group of ten or so redditors, chosen from amongst the group and spread over the demographics (a mix of the userbase across gender identities, sexualities, etc.).

The first attempt for this will be held Monday, November 13th, at 6PM. This will be a "no-host" event (translation you are responsible for your own purchases/food/drink). There will be more events in the future; do not message now for attendance at future events.

I will be screening and vetting those who wish to attend.

If (and only if) you can attend on the 13th, and you are a verified r/bostonr4r user, please send a message to the specific social account (u/bostonr4r_social), with the following information:

• age
• gender identity
• what you look for on r/bostonr4r / how you use r/bostonr4r
• confirmation of your availability on the 13th
• why you want to attend
• the value you bring in attending
• any r/bostonr4r references willing to vouch for you
• your telegram name

I will make a short list, and reduce the list even further based upon conversation and screening. There will be voice calls made (using telegram) to discuss expectations and gauge comfort.

Be sure to message the specific social account (repeated: u/bostonr4r_social) with your info, and not this account (I will ignore and be cranky), nor comment below with your information. I'll ignore and pull you off any list going forward. u/bostonr4r_social will make a comment for easy reference.
